We say this a lot on our blog, but our favorite weddings to shoot are the ones where we get to really get to know and connect with the couples. Lucky for us, we already knew Garrett & Lauren! They have been a part of our church community for years, and we could not have been more thrilled to have been able to capture their big day. In all our meetings with them, the Love Story video we did for them, and then on the big day itself, their joy and excitement to get married shined through and was absolutely contagious. We've literally been counting down the weddings until their big day!

Their wedding took place at Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton, CA. Naturally, being a railroad station, the wedding guests were treated to an adventurous train ride through the Santa Cruz Mountains to the ceremony site, which was at a gorgeous and intimate grove of redwood trees, Cathedral Grove.

Because G & L are friends of ours, we decided to surprise them with a Same Day Edit that we played at their reception. SDE's are always a bit stressful and their timeline in particular made it a tough feat, but we are so glad we pulled it together and seeing their reaction made it absolutely worth it.
